How do I pay for my purchase?
We accept payment for orders within Australia by Mastercard and Visa credit cards, PayPal, cheque or money order. If you are ordering from outside Australia, we accept payment by Mastercard and Visa credit cards as well as bank drafts and money orders made payable on Australian banks. Our postal address is listed on the Contact Southern Cross Music page. We do not accept American Express, Diner's Club or debit cards.
Do I have to have a PayPal account?
There is no obligation to sign up for a PayPal account.
When I enter my billing information, I'm told that you can't accept PO Boxes. Why is this?
This is a PayPal requirement to prevent fraud. If you want your order delivered to a PO Box, change the delivery address in the Review Your Payment page.
I'm ordering from outside Australia. How much will I be charged?
We have included a handy currency conversion facility, located just below the Add To Cart buttons for each item. Click on the Currency Check button and a new window will appear. Select your currency on the right hand side, click Go! and the cost of your item will appear. This facility is provided by XE.com and is linked to current exchange rates, which change constantly. This service is intended as a guide only and we do not accept any responsibility for changes in exchange rates or any additional fees that may be charged by your credit card provider.
And what about import duties/taxes?
For customers receiving goods outside Australia, import duties and/or taxes may be levied by the local country's authorities. Although this seldom happens, the recipient of the goods is responsible for paying these duties to the local country's authority. Australian orders include statutory GST as part of the purchase price.
How will you ship my order? How much is the postage and handling charge?
We have adopted a single postage charge policy, which means the more products you order in one shipment, the more you save on shipping costs. Shipping within Australia is by Australia Post and is fixed at $5.00 per shipment, no matter how many items you order. Shipping to the rest of the world is also by Australia Post and is fixed at A$9.00 per shipment, no matter how many items you order. We reserve the right to review this policy as necessary.
What if there is a problem with my order?
It's important that you supply us with a current e-mail address, so that we can contact you, should any problem arise. If you need to contact us, simply click on the Contact Southern Cross Music link and send your message.
What about privacy?
Your credit card information will be used for a single transaction only. It will not be stored on our computer system, so you will need to resubmit your details each time you order. Your e-mail address will only be kept on file if you subscribe to our New Release Bulletins. No information will ever be given to any third party.
When will my order be shipped and how long will it take to arrive?
We aim to ship your order within two working days. Occasionally, there may be delays with stock and if that's the case, we'll advise you by e-mail. Orders within Australia should be delivered within a week, but if they are delayed we ask that you wait 15 business days before contacting us, as delays may occur. International orders should be delivered within 30 days.
How do I get my name removed from your New Release Bulletins?
Simply select Unsubscribe on the Contact Southern Cross Music page. Alternatively you can select Unsubscribe on the bottom of each bulletin.
On the Contact Southern Cross Music page, what is image verification?
This is a security test to determine whether or not the user is human. This will ensure that only human visitors will actually submit the form, and not spamming bots that are browsing the web from site to site and submit spam where they can. Fortunately, it is impossible for a non-human (ex. computer program) to extract a word or a combination of letters and numbers from an image, if the letters and numbers are not all of the same size and of similar font. This is how the Image Verification security method ensures that only people can submit a form.
What's this about region codes on DVDs?
Generally, unless you have a multi region DVD player, DVDs purchased from Australia will only play on Region 4 players (see table below). All DVDs purchased from Southern Cross Music are playable in Australia and New Zealand. If you are purchasing from outside this territory, it is advisable to contact the manufacturer of your DVD player to ascertain whether it will play Region 4 DVDs before you order.
